About Jordan

Jordan began coaching actors 28 years ago at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York (1994 - 1998), focusing on Audition, Acting for Film & TV, and Script Analysis.  After moving to North Carolina he taught classes at Andrea Magder's Film Workshop & Laboratory (1998 - 2000).  He then crossed the Atlantic to conduct intensive acting workshops at Studio VO/VF in Paris, France (2001 - 2013), the Institut für Schauspiel Film und Fernsehberufe (2006 - present) in Berlin, Germany, the Manufacture des Abbesses (2014 - present) in Paris, France, and the Actors Centre (2014 - 2020) in London, England. He also squeezed in the Greensboro Performing Arts and New Garden Friends School in Greensboro, NC for a year in 2015.  In 2022 he added workshops in Luxembourg for ACTORS.LU and Bochum, Germany for Pott Cast NRW.

In Casting, Jordan worked with renowned Casting Directors Douglas Aibel and Georgianne Walken & Sheila Jaffe on an array of award winning films including Dead Man Walking, Little Odessa, The Yards, Signs, Denice Calls Up and Daytrippers, before going solo and casting several more award winners including Urbania, Getting To Know You, You Belong To Me, Dead Dog, Seaside, and contributing to award winners like Forty Shades of Blue, Factotum, and Cabin Fever.

Jordan has directed short films and plays that have been presented in Los Angeles, NYC, Paris, Berlin, Brazil, Belgium, Washington DC, Chicago, and North Carolina.  His own plays have been produced, directed by him and others, all around the world - from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in D.C. to the Riverside Studios in London to the West Bank in NYC to the Celebration Theatre in Hollywood to the Garry Marshall Theatre in Burbank to the Manufacture des Abbesses and Lucernaire in Paris... 

As an actor, Jordan trained with Michael Moriarty, Mira Rostova, Stephen Strimpell, Sandy Dennis, Shelley Winters, Sally Kirkland, Frederick Combs, Susan Peretz, Amy Wright, Guy Stockwell, and was a finalist for membership at the Actors Studio. Vocally with Marni Nixon and William & Irene Chapman. Playwriting with Milan Stitt and Robert Patrick.
